About us
Wikkelgoed designs and manufactures shrouds, stretchers, and matching accessories as a sustainable alternative to the coffin. All our products are made from organic, sustainable, and fairtrade materials. Wikkelgoed was founded in 2000 by Monique Rang, who personally experienced the significance of a shroud during the farewell to her mother and grandmother. This experience led her to dedicate herself for years to raising awareness within the funeral industry about this alternative to the coffin. Today, Wikkelgoed is led by her son Robbe, who was deeply moved by the impact of this ritual following the passing of his mother. We strive for the most environmentally friendly production possible and also support other sustainable initiatives within the funeral industry. We supply funeral directors in the Netherlands and Belgium. Through a business account on our website, entrepreneurs have access to competitive pricing and fast delivery. Additionally, we provide sample booklets, catalogs, and personal advice to help entrepreneurs present shrouds to families effectively. Private individuals can also purchase directly from us via the webshop. This allows people to choose a suitable shroud or stretcher for the farewell to a loved one, either themselves or together with their funeral director.
