For 20 years, Museum Tot Zover shows how we deal with death, through exhibitions, events, and educational materials.

How do we deal with death? That is the question Museum Tot Zover seeks to answer. Because the way we deal with death says a lot about who we are. It is important to talk about death whilst we are still alive – about our own mortality, about grief, and about rituals.
That conversation doesn’t always have to be a heavy one. There’s room for laughter too, and you’re always welcome in the café for a comforting cup of coffee.

Museum Tot Zover is the only museum in the Netherlands specialising in the themes of death, funerals and remembrance. For almost 20 years, Tot Zover has been a meeting place offering thought-provoking exhibitions, events and educational programmes.

The museum is situated in the beautiful, historic De Nieuwe Ooster cemetery in Amsterdam-East, where you can enjoy the inspiring green surroundings either on your own or with an audio tour.
