About us

We grow the world's first mushroom coffins and urns made of mycelium, which enrich the earth.

Loop Biotech is a Dutch biotech company that grows living funeral products from mycelium: the underground root network of mushrooms. Our mission is to restore the relationship between humans and nature and to transform the funeral industry. Our products, including the Loop Living Cocoon™, Loop ForestBed™, and Loop EarthRise™, make it possible not only to leave less behind after death, but actually to nourish new life. Mycelium supports natural decomposition, enriches the soil, and creates fertile conditions in which nature can flourish anew. In this way, we turn our final footprint into a source of new life. Ready for life after death?
