VTU Funeral Trade Fair 2026 a Great Success

More than 5,000 funeral professionals visited Evenementenhal Gorinchem on 29 and 30 September for the VTU Funeral Trade Fair 2026. Feedback from both visitors and exhibitors was unanimously enthusiastic: “Everyone was there, the range of products and services was extensive, the knowledge programme was inspiring, and the overall atmosphere was very positive.”

With around 250 exhibitors from the Netherlands and abroad, more than thirty exhibitor pitches, several live podcasts featuring funeral industry experts, discussions on thought-provoking topics, and numerous workshops and inspiring presentations, the event offered a wealth of innovations. Above all, the extensive knowledge programme made the event a valuable meeting place for professionals from across the industry.

A Connecting Role

“We are very pleased with the many thousands of visitors, but of course also with all the enthusiastic feedback we have received,” says Peter van Wijk, chairman of the VTU. “It shows that the VTU Funeral Trade Fair plays an important connecting role and brings funeral professionals together. We are very proud of that. We are also proud to have announced during this edition that the next VTU Funeral Trade Fair will take place on 3 and 4 October 2028 – two years from now.”

Next Edition: 3 and 4 October 2028
